Extra-Curricular Activities and Student Achievement
Congratulations to the high school football team and all the best on Saturday's play off game!!! I'm reminded of the research that finds a positive correlation between students who are involved in extra curricular activities and academic success. Not only is the student involvement beneficial in the particular activity it also enhances student confidence and provides the student with a sense of purpose and belonging. I've already seen evidence of excitement for the upcoming game, not only from players but the student body as a whole. And it's only Monday!!! I can't wait.
