Tuesday – February 6 – Start With Hello
Long-term loneliness and isolation is a major contributor to poor health.  Loneliness is also normal, we all feel lonely at times or isolated.  As humans we also know the importance and health benefits of connecting with people.  If you see someone alone, reach out, start with hello and start a conversation.
Here are a few conversations starter ideas:
What has been the highlight of your day/week?
                What’s your favorite restaurant?
What’s the first thing you do after school?
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live and why?
Tell me one thing I might not know about you?

Wednesday – February 7 – Reach Out
Watch the video – Orphaned 6-year-old spreads smiles to strangers through gifts.
All students and staff will be given two warm fuzzies, one to keep and one to give away.

Thursday – February 8 – High School (Coke or Pepsi Day) Elementary (Gummy Bears or Fruit Snacks Day)
Students will be given fun topics to use to interview other students.  Drawings will be held for students (Pairs of students) who turn in their completed interview forms.
Drawing Prizes – (Coke or Pepsi for High School Students) (Gummy Bears or Fruit Snacks for Elementary Students)

Friday – February 9 – Wear College Gear
Education is a path to positive transformation.  Talk about post-secondary options.

It is my honor and pleasure to work with the students, staff and families of Lakota Public School.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.
